SIGs
What are SIGs?
A Special Interest Group (SIG) programme is formed when a company or academic institute takes a special interest in an emerging technology and initiates activities to involve other members to participate in furthering its development.
The SIG is also designed to keep our members fully up to date with the latest developments and assist in exploring new business opportunities.
Each SIG sponsor develops the pioneering concept and through the WirelessLAB, solicits involvement from other members. Seminars, workshops and conferences are arranged under this activity, with content managed by the SIG sponsor company.
How can you lead your own SIG?
WirelessLAB facilitates the set up and management of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) which are initiated by members. The topic selected has to target areas of technical challenge, solving existing or anticipated issues and the sponsor undertakes the organisation of speakers, the venue etc while WirelessLAB undertakes to promote the SIG amongst the membership.
